Trailer Update

Hi Everyone

A quick update on the trailer. The build is progressing well and should be completed in the next 2-3 weeks. It is very big, but still relatively easy to move around and still liftable at the hitch. It also has plenty of room inside for wheelchairs, extra seating and a nice big projected image.

Hello Everyone! Welcome to the Blog for the SoarAbility Gliding Simulator for the Disabled. In it, I will be covering the design and build process as it progresses, with the aim of building publicity and enthusiasm for the project.

The simulator will housed at the Cunderdin airfield in Western Australia, as part of SoarAbility. SoarAbility is a project which has been started to encourage the disabled to experience the sport of gliding. As well as the Simulator, there will be an actual ASK21Mi glider with a hand controlled rudder fitted. This modification allows the pilot to operate the rudder with their left hand, rather than their feet. The combination of simulator and real aircraft will mean almost anyone can have a go at gliding!

I have included some images below of how the trailer may look. The project is well under way, with the trailer and fuselage ordered. I will be updating the blog with any progress as it happens, so stay tuned!
